“Rescue Her” is non-profit charity that exists to fight human trafficking. We want to take a stand against injustice, be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, and help rescue those that are held captive. We want to raise awareness about human trafficking, fight for justice, and be a place that allows those that want to take action to do so.
Why? Because every 30 seconds another child is taken. We CANNOT stand idly by. We are ordinary people banding together to see something extraordinary happen.
Our purpose can be summarized in Proverbs 31:9; “Speak out for the poor and helpless and see that they get justice”, and our vision is to Raise Awareness, Raise Funds, to Rescue and Restore. We fight the injustice of human trafficking, especially that of young girls, both in the US and abroad. We do this through prevention, intervention and aftercare initiatives.
How it was all started:
Josie Carignan, a wife and stay at home mom of three kids started “Rescue Her out of the desire in her heart to do SOMETHING to help the helpless in the darkest places; such as victims of Human Trafficking. She knew that she could not rescue all the victims of human trafficking but she knew that if she could save one, that our light was greater than any kind of darkness.
Mission Trips:
“Each year “Rescue Her” also takes teams of passionate people to minister with “Rescue Her” in Chennai, India or with one of our partners on the front lines of anti-trafficking around the globe. Short term missionaries get a firsthand encounter and the chance to see the hope and restoration that comes through safe homes, village outreach, skills training and street ministry.”
