Eastern in Action Help Requests Deadline Approaching
The Associated Students of Eastern New Mexico University are giving back to Portales by hosting Eastern in Action from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. April 5. The deadline to request help is March 28.
Eastern in Action is an annual event that gives ENMU students the chance to help the local community.
Portales residents are invited to request assistance from students to complete tasks such as housework, yard work, and spring cleaning.
Eastern in Action Director Stephanie Losoya says the event “allows students to say thank you to the wonderful citizens of Portales for all they do for the university by getting our hands a little dirty and helping any way we can.”
The theme of this year’s event is “Plant a seed of Generosity for Gratitude to Bloom.”
Losoya, a sophomore at ENMU, says the theme was chosen because she thinks it is “important for students to see and appreciate all the great things Portales provides for our university to flourish the way it has for years.”
Request forms are available in the Campus Life office in the Campus Union Building.
For more information, contact Losoya at Stephanie.Losoya@enmu.edu or 505-793-2714.
