2014’s Greek Week has started off with a bang! All of the Greek organizations can be found in crowds during the time of the events that are happening. Most of them start around 530 if there are any students who would like to attend! An audience is always welcome.
Monday started off with a splat, literally, with the beginning game being an egg toss. As each group sent out their teams it just got messier and messier. It was then followed by a egg throwing, this event had each organization throw an egg at a target. We could say that things got scrambled during this part! Eggs where flying off in all directions with the force that was being used to throw them and hitting the target. Next it was a shot put competition where the Greeks brought out their best throwers to throw their way to the top of the points. It went then onto a relay with eggs, to be commenced with a food eating contest. The people competing in this event were challenged to eat as many marshmallows as they could before time ran out!
Tuesday was kicked off in the pool as the Greeks kicked to get to the other side of the pool in various styles. There was even a boat race!! They had relay swims, diving, and of course the boat race which is almost always one of the best events due to the fact that everyone built a boat! in a condensed amount of time.
Wednesday, today, is the Mud Day. If you’ve missed out on the other games come out to this one! the mud pits are located behind the ZTA house and i promise you’ll be able to find it. It’s were all the loud people are! the games today start at 530 so feel free to come out and join the festivities!
