Greyhound Express

The Greyhound Express is a new food-delivery service open on campus.

The Sodexo service will deliver to the lobby of any on-campus building—except West Campus and Greyhound Arena because the delivery employees do not cross Highway 70. However, they will meet off-campus students at a campus building to deliver food.

The Greyhound Express opened April 20 and will continue to run through May 6.

Becky Cartwright said she wanted to open Greyhound Express around this time because “the last three weeks of the semester are terrible; everyone is stressed out and cramming, and McDonald’s is their only option for a late night snack.”

Hannah Spearman, a Sodexo spokeswoman, added that Greyhound Express is a “reasonably priced option that offers delivery.”

Students seem to like the idea of an on-campus delivery service.

“I am excited to have some food options after 9 p.m.,” said freshman Jordan Egerton, “especially while I am up studying for finals.”

Senior Trish Kirk is a little disappointed that the Greyhound Express was not around when she lived on campus, but she is excited for the younger students.

The April 20-May 6 time period is going to serve as a trial run. If the delivery service is successful, then it will be brought back next semester with even more options.

Greyhound Express is open 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Sunday-Thursday, and it will not be running during the Late Night Breakfast at the Campus Union Building.

Greyhound Express currently delivers one-topping pizzas (cheese, peperoni, sausage, and mushroom) for $5.99, six cookies for $4.29, canned sodas for $0.80, and a gallon of coffee for $9.95. There must be a minimum purchase price of $5, and everything more $20 must be paid with flex dollars or a card.
