TED Talks: I am sure you have been familiar with the organization that enlightens individuals about topics ranging from, education, business, science, relationships, etc. I tend to watch Ted Talks when I want inspiration or solicited advice from a stranger.
I gathered a few TED Talks from YouTube to spark change within yourself to live a frugal and minimalistic life.
- A Rich Life with Less Stuff
- The Less You Own, The More You Have
- The 100 Things Challenge
- Less–The Lifestyle
- The Ten Item Wardrobe
- Life is Easy. Why Do We Make It So Hard?
- Programming Your Mind for Success
- The Masterpiece of a Simple Life
- The Art of Letting Go
- Sell your Crap. Pay Your Debt. Do What You Love
Each link will take you to a TED Talk that will last between 10 to 20 minutes. Additionally, each TED Talk relates to Minimalism and how it can positively affect your life. I’ve considered minimalism recently through various articles on the web, Pinterest or blogs. However, when I was reading the articles, the words that I was reading did not resonate with me as I hoped— until I watched the TED Talks listed above. Once I heard from others perspectives, and I was willing to listen; the advice sunk in, and I delved into my own life. For someone being in their early twenties, the idea of a quarter-life crisis has rummaged through my thoughts for quite some time. After watching these videos, I found clarity in the simplicity of minimalism, decluttering aspects of your life, and the notion that you do not have to your life figured out at the age of 21.
