Fall weather is upon us, and it is time to curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee or tea and read a good book. Since October is coming to a close, here is a list of five novels that you should read to get you in the mood for cooler weather and celebrating the seasons.
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng: This novel follows Mia Warren, an artist and a single mother who enters the “Stepford Wives” of suburbia. She meets Elena Richardson who is the queen bee of the town who is set to uncover Mia’s past.
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware: Lo Blacklock writes for a travel magazine and has been given an assignment to go on a luxurious cruise to the North Sea. The cruise is nothing short of fabulous, until Lo sees a woman get thrown overboard. This novel is filled with twists and turns until the end!
My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent: Turtle Alveston has felt isolated since the death of her mother, until she meets Jacob who is anything but dysfunctional, and he looks at her as if she’s the sunrise. This novel will send you on an emotional roller coaster as Turtle finds herself throughout the novel.
The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson: Ted Severson is on an overnight flight from London to Boston where he meets the enchanting Kitner. After having one too many, they start to spill secrets to one another and how they plan to get rid of Ted’s cheating wife, Miranda.
The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena: Marco and Ann Conti are a well-off couple in New York City. One night, they go to the next-door neighbors, and their baby is taken from their home. The reader is sent into a frenzy of trying to figure out who took the Conti’s baby and if the parents were involved.
