During the recent peaceful protesting for the Black Lives Matter movement, companies are losing money as well as employees. Some companies are now banning their employees from supporting the movement. Former supporters of these companies are no longer purchasing products from these places.
Some wonder why Black Lives Matter cannot be supported, but there are people with Make America Great Again hats on. This makes people wonder if these companies are prejudice. Especially if a Black Lives Matter shirt is not allowed but a Make America Great Again hat is. As Americans, we should be able to express whatever we feel or support. When it comes to supporting Black Lives Matter, it seems impossible.
How long will it take for people to realize that black lives are being taken more than any other race around the world? It isn’t only due to police brutality. It also happens in hospitals. Black men and women suffer more than the average person in America. No one seems to have any answers for it all.
Now that companies are banning people from exercising their rights, they are losing business and employees. It seems to be even more than COVID-19 caused. During these protests in all 50 states and around the world, some would think that this is the beginning of a change in America. That is not the case. With all of the peaceful protests over the years, there has been no progress when it comes to law enforcement.
These companies have the power to support black lives. They could donate a certain percentage of profit to the cause; but choose not to. This is because of the fear of how they will be viewed by others that do not support the same cause. Too many people like to worry about what people will say about them based on who they support instead of just simply supporting what is right. Wake up America!
