How amazing the difference in people; I sit and think constantly how we are all so uniquely different. I travel for work and am amazed at how every place I go to the people are so different. I am from Portales. All my life I have lived here, and when you encounter people you greet them, you say excuse me, bless you, and hold the door open for someone. How do people go through life being so rude, inconsiderate, or just plain mean? It infuriates me when I am at these different locations and people bump into me with no consideration, do not say excuse me. I don’t understand how they feel it is OK, just to run someone over and go about their day as if nothing happened.
You lose absolutely nothing in life by being a kind and considerate human. Often you will receive blessings by being a kind person. Now who wouldn’t want to receive blessings? I know I will take all I can get. We are raised differently, and I understand that; but, are we raised to be brutal and non-caring? How hard is it to show kindness? If you see someone struggling to carry something into a building, hold the door open for them. If you are a younger person, you get up and give your seat to an older person. These days you see parents with their children say for example at a doctor’s office. You see little children in chairs and the elderly standing where parents don’t teach their kids to stand and give their chair up. Too much entitlement, not enough educating manners, or values.
When you are a polite and kind person, your value increases. The more you are rude and show no manners, your value decreases. I have seen such a change in society today. We don’t take the time to show our children the value of a good person, instead we show them the value of being rude. We have reached an all-time low when it comes to morals; I see it all the time. We think it’s cute to have ungrateful, hateful, rude, and inconsiderate kids. It looks bad on the parents in my opinion, but heck who am I to say? I am merely a bystander thinking what have we done to society? We have made monsters of what once was a beautiful human race.
