Every situation we experience in life is an opportunity to bring peace. Do you see a troubled world around you? It has always been a troubled world, and it will need your thoughts of peace to change. Recently, scientists in the U.S. set up electronic monitoring devices that record changes in electrical patterns around the globe. These devices are like the devices that monitor seismic movement in the earth, such as in volcanic activity or earthquakes.
On Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist activity struck the U.S. In the 12 hours preceding this strike against humanity, the “recording devices” placed all over the globe began to show unexplained activity in their recordings. This unexplained activity was “measurable” for several weeks after the event. What does this activity all over the world at the same time demonstrate? It shows that our group and individual thoughts are things and can be picked up by instruments.
If our thoughts (all the people of the world) can be measured by a scientist when events happen, this shows we are connected in ways we do not normally anticipate. These same recording devices showed similar activity on the “World Day of Prayer” when over 250,000 people prayed at the same time for peace. Again, I ask the question what does this mean to you and me? It means all our thoughts positive and negative go out, affecting others worldwide. If our thoughts are peaceful and positive, they have an impact when joined with others, and science is proving this true.
In our world, many are currently fearful. Universal law tells us that what we focus our attention on has effects. You can be part of the problem or part of the solution by choosing to monitor your thoughts and align with those who pray for peace worldwide. You are not alone in your prayers and thoughts. You are “alone” in making the “decision to pray and be conscious each day” of exactly, how your thoughts are going forth. To pay attention to only the events around you are to focus on the negative, and it will expand.
You are not being asked; to “pretend” like bad things are not happening because we know that they are. You are being asked to understand that your thoughts are powerful when joined daily with others towards sending the balance of the thoughts of the world in the direction of peace. You, yes you, are needed to focus on what can be and not what is temporary for the moment. If we choose to focus on the hurt and pain, it will continue. I am asking all my friends in Nepal to take time each day, to close your eyes and join with the many others all over the world in prayer for peace in every country. Imagine in your mind’s eye all the leaders on sides, doing the things and making the choices that are good for the whole of humanity. Regardless of how they have behaved in the past, let your “focus” be to see them responding in a positive, healing and peaceful way.
In your walk through the city today and the weeks ahead, look closely at your brothers and sisters who pass you in the streets, sending them personal “kind thoughts” of peace. They will feel you, as science proves, and this world will swing to the peace that was meant to be. You can be a force of change and walk holding this inner peace without saying a single word. Walk in peace. Be still and send thoughts of peace. You and many others walk, think, pray and make a difference. Your inner peace is much needed in the world. Live peace.
